Council continues meeting through the summer. Here’s the latest edition of the Mayor’s Report.

Last week we celebrated improvements at 2 city parks:

  • A new splashpad at Bogart Street Park – it’s accessible, inclusive and free!
  • $100,000 worth of improvements at Rotary Park, in partnership with Canada 150 Infrastructure Program and the Rotary Club of St. Catharines

There are events taking place all summer in our parks and public spaces:

  • Free concerts in Montebello Park, each Wednesday night in July
  • Dancing in the park at Montebello Pavilion, starts on Sunday, July 15
  • Moonlight Flicks: movies in Rennie Park on Thursday nights.
  • Port Dalhousie Supper Market continues on Tuesdays at Lakeside Park
  • Yoga on the lawn by Moksha Yoga and Shannon Passero Post Office is back on Thursday, July 12 at 12 pm. Bring a donation for Community Care
  • The YMCA is also hosting free, outdoor fitness classes at neighbourhood parks all summer.

Smart Kiosks are being installed downtown in partnership with Bell Canada. Coming soon, the kiosks will provide free wi-fi, phone charging, information and emergency service access.

Geneva St. / Carlton intersection – improvements finally approved to prioritize safety. Watch for changes coming soon.

Finally – school is out and the roads are busy. Please watch out for children playing and stay safe!
