This weeks highlights include recognizing and creating awareness for important causes – February is Black History Month and Heart and Stroke Month, HonkMobile launched for parking at City Hall and Market Square and CrossFit St. Catharines had their grand re-opening to showcase their expansion.
Congratulations to St. Catharines native Matt Vinc (2015 St. Catharines Athlete of the Year, former St. Catharines Athletics Jr. A Lacrosse player) who made his 6000th save this past weekend. Matt is the fifth player in the National Lacrosse League to reach this milestone. Call out to residents – help bring the Canada 2021 Games to Niagara -sign up to support out bid at Niagara2021.com
17th Annual Toque Tuesday – Mayor’s Pancake Breakfast takes place on Feb 7th at Market Square 7 a.m. – 9 a.m. and a thank you to JCI St. Catharines (a group of young professionals who work in different areas) who launched the ‘Compassionate City Project’ inspired by the Compassionate City initiative this past weekend.
