It was a great weekend in St. Catharines and looking forward to the long weekend ahead. Congratulations to Slovenian National Lipa Park on celebrating your 50th anniversary, the Foster Festival started this weekend with the world premiere of Screwball Comedy, nominations for the St. Catharines Trillium Awards are now open online, Niagara Regional Housing groundbreaking for the Carlton Street development – first build in St. Catharines in 40 years, Kitsch 4 Canada – “art of the tacky souvenir” exhibit is at City Hall.
Many great events taking place across the city to celebrate Canada 150 including: flag raising at Centennial Gardens, Citizenship ceremony, Dominion Day at the St. Catharines Museum, Canada Day party at Rennie Park, Port Dalhousie fireworks – check the city website to see what is open. The Port Dalhousie Supper Market returns on July 4th and the Downtown Classic Car Show is on July 8th.
