2018 Federal Budget – Port Dalhousie Piers
Great news for the City of St. Catharines, the 2018 Federal Budget included funding for the rehabilitation of the Port Dalhousie Piers. The 2018 budget investments allow the Government to support the rehabilitation of the east and west piers in Port Dalhousie.
Thank you to MP Chris Bittle for this leadership on this file. After working with city staff and Council, meeting with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and working closely with MP Bittle, we are all very pleased to see commitment to this project – recognizing the importance to our community.
The piers are a huge part of the fabric of St. Catharines. This investment will help complete the revitalization of Port Dalhousie and vitality of public waterfront. We look forward to continuing to work with our partners to get it done – so we can all enjoy walking down the piers in Port Dalhousie again.
Thank you once again to MP Bittle and the federal government for recognizing the importance of Port Dalhousie’s historic piers to our community and our future prosperity.
