On behalf of the organizing committee, we want to thank all who supported the 15th Annual Mayor’s Au Marché. Along with former mayors and Au Marché hosts Tim Rigby and Brian McMullan, Mayor Sendzik honoured to host the final Au Marché from beautiful 13th Street Winery with such a big crowd of friends and supporters.
We truly appreciate all who contributed to make it such a memorable occasion. The overwhelming support demonstrates what a compassionate community St. Catharines truly is.
Au Marché 2018 was attended by over 250 guests who enjoyed cuisine prepared by talented St. Catharines chefs, along with some of the best wine and craft beer and musical talent in Niagara. It was an amazing evening with fireworks capping off the evening and over $35,000 was raised, a new Au Marché record!
Although the Au Marché has come to an end, the legacy will live on through proceeds which were invested annually in the St. Catharines Community Fund at the Niagara Community Foundation. Funds will continue to help young people in financial need fully participate in the recreational, sports and cultural life of the city for many years to come. More than 3,000 children and youth have benefited from this program since it began in the summer of 2004.
Thank you to those loyal supporters who participated in the Au Marche for many years – we couldn’t have done it without you! To those who came on board in 2018, your participation gave us the potential to reach a new fundraising goal.
