Improving transit for Niagara
Public transit is critical for city-building to move people, to access work, school and social services and to attract business, investment and support economic development. Improving inter-municipal transit is one of City Council’s key strategic priorities in our Strategic Plan.
Now, a working group of mayors from St. Catharines, Niagara Falls and Welland, with support from Niagara Region is looking at improving public transit for Niagara. This short video explains some of the ideas and recommendations. Please take a look and tell us what you think about the future direction of public transit by filling out a short survey.
There are also 4 public meetings taking place throughout the month of November to get feedback and opinions on the future of inter-municipal transit. Please tell us what you think. All of the comments and feedback will be considered in developing final recommendations for Council to consider early in the new year.
