Mayor’s Report – December 11, 2017

Greetings, St. Catharines. Here’s the latest Mayor’s Report, highlighting community events and congratulations in #OurHomeSTC

First, we share our condolences with the family of Karl Kaiser, grandfather of the Canadian wine industry and co-founder of the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture program at Brock University.

Congratulations to local businesses opening and celebrating anniversaries: By George CanadaUrban Cravings Salad Bar, Bunting Carlton Medical Centre, Carlton Corner Pharmasave and Cornerstone Wellness and Therapy. Big congratulations to Brian Cullen at Brian Cullen Motors – recipient of a major auto industry award. More BIG congrats to the entire community and JCI St. Catharines who stepped up for the #GreatHolidayFoodDrive this weekend, collecting a record amount of food, toys and cash donations for Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold.

Coming up this week is the Civic Christmas Concert on Tuesday at noon and the Port Dalhousie Christmas Market on the weekend. I hope you’re feeling the holiday spirit and if you’re not quite there yet, come and see the beautiful Tree of Lights display at City Hall!
